How to Best Showcase Academic Projects on a Resume for a First Job?

Hi everyone,

I'm a final-year Computer Science student and I'm starting to apply for software developer roles. I don't have any formal internship experience, so my academic projects are the most important part of my profile right now.

I'm struggling with how to properly describe these projects on my resume and talk about them in interviews to make them sound professional and impactful.

For example, I have two main projects:
1. **E-commerce Website (Database Course):** I designed and built a fully functional site with user registration, product listings, and a shopping cart using PHP and MySQL. I focused heavily on normalizing the database to 3NF.
2. **Android Weather App (Mobile Dev Course):** I developed an app that pulls real-time data from a public weather API to display the current weather and a 5-day forecast for any city.

My questions are:
* How can I describe these projects using metrics or quantifiable results? Is it okay to mention the number of features implemented or the complexity of the database schema?
* Should these go under a dedicated "Projects" section on my resume, or should I try to integrate them into my "Education" section?
* **For any recruiters here:** What do you actually look for when you see a project on a resume from a recent graduate? Is a link to a GitHub repository more important than the bullet-point description?

Any advice from fellow students who have successfully landed jobs, or from industry professionals on what stands out, would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks!
